Via Napoli: Authentic Pizzeria coming to Epcot's Italy Pavilion

As announced on the Disney Parks Blog earlier this year, an authentic Naples-style pizzeria is coming to Epcot's Italy pavilion.

The eatery, named Via Napoli, is located at the back of the pavilion, adjacent to Tutto Italia. The name derives from the fact that the best pizza in the world comes from Naples, Italy. The claim of the locals is that the spring water used in their pizza dough gives it a unique taste and consistency.

Therefore, Disney will import water from a source where the water is of a similar composition to that in Naples. This will make the pizza dough as authentic as possible.

The restaurant is slated to seat 300, feature Florentine architecture such as vaulted ceilings and patio seating. The menu will consist of traditional italian dishes and pizzas made in a wood-burning oven.

The estimated opening of the restaurant is set for Fall 2010, in conjunction with the 15th annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival!
